Thursday, August 6, 2026, was a special day at Elkamet: We were pleased to warmly welcome 26 new apprentices as well as FOS interns. For these young people, this marks the beginning of an important chapter in their lives, one that Elkamet looks forward to supporting closely.
“Your first day at Elkamet is like going to the movies: You’ve already paid for your ticket, but you can influence how good the movie turns out to be. Be proactive, be curious, and help shape our shared future,” emphasized Managing Director Michael Parsch.
The event kicked off with a focus on getting to know one another. After the welcome, the new recruits gained insight into the company, met their trainers, and began making connections with one another.
A special highlight took place as part of our event day: Together with our new dual-track students, we went on a canoe trip. Away from the daily grind, the trip gave us the opportunity to get to know each other even better, bond as a team, and share experiences.
“It’s important to us that our new colleagues feel well taken care of right from the start,” emphasizes HR Manager Michael Honndorf. “This includes a structured onboarding process, hands-on insights, and opportunities that emphasize teamwork.”
Through its dual-track students, apprentices, and FOS interns, Elkamet offers a wide range of entry-level opportunities in technical and business professions. The company views this as an important contribution to securing a skilled workforce in the region and strengthening the local business community.
