On 16 March 2026, Elkamet was represented at the IHK apprenticeship fair in Biedenkopf – with a clear aim: to support young people in their career choices and to provide an insight into the career opportunities we offer.
For two days, the Lahntalhalle in Biedenkopf was all about apprenticeships, higher education and career guidance – and Elkamet was right at the heart of it. Our apprenticeship team, colleagues from the HR department, as well as current apprentices and dual-study students, provided visitors with information about the wide range of career opportunities at Elkamet.
Plenty of conversations – and valuable contacts from the region
Many school pupils from the region took the opportunity to find out about work placements, apprenticeship programmes and degree courses. Amidst curious questions, initial discussions and lively exchanges, numerous valuable contacts were made.
Successful days at the fair with exciting prospects
Our conclusion is positive: two successful days at the fair with many interested visitors, fruitful discussions and exciting prospects for recruiting the next generation. Now it’s a case of waiting to see which of these contacts might soon turn into applications.
