On Friday, August 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the Elkamet Musikhalle in Friedensdorf will serve as the concert venue for the Eckelshausen Music Festival.
An Evening of Diverse Musical Worlds
As part of the Eckelshausen Music Festival, the Elkamet Musikhalle will host a summer concert featuring the hr Symphony Orchestra. The program brings together a variety of musical styles—ranging from classical symphonic sounds to works that evoke images of travel, places of longing, and new timbres.
The program features works by Hector Berlioz, Richard Galliano, Peter Tchaikovsky, Edvard Grieg, Astor Piazzolla, and George Gershwin.
Richard Galliano as soloist
A special highlight of the evening is the performance by Richard Galliano, internationally renowned as an accordion virtuoso and composer. Together with the orchestra, he will perform his „Opale Concerto“, which blends elements of classical music, jazz, musette, and tango. This part of the program is complemented by Piazzolla’s “Libertango” and “Oblivion.”
Izabelė Jankauskaitė will serve as musical director.
