From 19 to 22 November, our Additive Manufacturing division exhibited at Formnext 2024 – the leading international trade fair for industrial 3D printing technologies.
Formnext in Frankfurt is considered the most important trade show for additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies. This year, our Additive Manufacturing department was represented for the third time—and with great success. The joint booth with PROTIQ—A Phoenix Contact Company—proved to be a real crowd-pleaser.
Whether long-standing business partners or curious trade visitors, many attendees took the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in coloring and smoothing 3D-printed parts. Interest was particularly high in the field of orthopedic technology—an area in which our additive manufacturing division has been offering innovative solutions for about three years.
A special highlight: A “Craniohelm” manufactured by the department was displayed by the machine manufacturer AMT as a reference piece at its own booth. Exhibits from the field of additive manufacturing could also be admired at the booths of BASF Forward AM, Additive Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) Ltd., and in the special exhibition area at Messe Frankfurt—including a craniohelm developed in collaboration with MUUV and a mirrored bicycle saddle from the startup fingerprint cycling.
This broad presence demonstrates just how widely additive manufacturing is used today—from medical technology to the sports industry. The team used the trade show to make new contacts, strengthen existing partnerships, and showcase its expertise.
