Pupils learn about bionics through PraktikumPlus

The seven pupils were the first participants in the new project and had a great time during their work experience: “I could have carried on for another three weeks,” said Phil, one of the work experience students.

An exciting project is coming to an end: Seven students from the Bad Laasphe Municipal High School spent two weeks at Elkamet exploring the field of bionics.

As part of the PraktikumPlus program, which was organized in cooperation with StudiumPlus, various schools, and three companies from the surrounding area, participants were able to build their own robots. Everything was covered, from an elephant’s trunk to robots that mimic the movements of a fish or a chameleon’s tongue, all the way to a flower that opens and closes using light and touch sensors. In addition, the interns were able to conduct experiments to explore how the robots could be used.
