Starting a dual degree program is more than just a new class schedule—it’s the beginning of a career path. This week, nine StudiumPlus students began their programs at Elkamet, each bringing a wide variety of perspectives: from business administration to industrial engineering to design engineering.
What makes us particularly happy is that three of the new dual-track students are already familiar with Elkamet—either from their own experience, through an apprenticeship with us, or through their work as skilled workers. This continuity is a strong sign for us. Those who know Elkamet make a conscious decision to take the next step with us.
To ensure a successful start, we rely on a structured onboarding process that allows time for new employees to settle in. Training sessions, safety briefings, and facility tours help new colleagues become familiar with processes, key contacts, and production right from the start.
A key component is our talent development program: In the basic training course, participants refresh their existing foundational knowledge and develop a shared understanding of quality, safety, and teamwork.
At the same time, all of them are beginning their studies at the THM campus in Biedenkopf. The combination of theory and practice is at the heart of StudiumPlus—and an important part of Elkamet’s efforts to support the next generation of talent.
We wish our new students a successful start and many positive experiences.
