We have many years of experience in the development and manufacture of hydraulic oil reservoirs using rotational molding. We use polyamide (nylon 6) as the material, which is suitable for continuous use at temperatures of up to 110°C and can withstand short-term temperature peaks of up to 170°C without any problems.
Rotationally molded hydraulic oil tanks from Elkamet allow you to optimize the use of space in your vehicle. The diesel exhaust emission limits according to Stage IIIB, IV, and V, as well as Tier 4 final and Euro 6, require tanks with efficient use of space, as additional space must be taken into account for the exhaust aftertreatment components in the new vehicle generations.
When it comes to hydraulic oil tanks, leak tightness is paramount. Elkamet has therefore developed a special flange connection for connecting return filters, suction lines, return diffusers, and other components. This connection achieves the best results in the helium vacuum leak test with a leak rate of only 1 E-8 mbar x l/s. By way of comparison, automotive tanks are considered leak-tight if they achieve a leak rate of 1E-5 mbar x l/s.
In hydraulic oil reservoirs, innovative integrated return filters that do not require a conventional return filter head can be installed manually and offer advantages for the overall system.
