Our contribution to more sustainability

With the elkaCIRCLE product range, Elkamet is making a contribution to greater sustainability in the production and life cycle of our plastic products. Out of responsibility to the generations that follow us, we offer our customers the opportunity to procure plastic profiles with sustainability in mind.

We offer various plastics under the name elkaCIRCLE, which are obtained from renewable raw materials. In addition, our production waste is reprocessed into reusable raw material. Here we pay attention to the greatest possible transparency in terms of material use. Depending on the project, different, ecologically valuable material specialties are used. Thanks to our certified processes, you always know exactly which biomaterial your products are made of.

Available materials

Makrolon RE

This special type of material uses a waste product from the food industry as a raw material. The material is ISCC certified according to the mass-balancing principle and retains the familiar properties of the PC material without restriction.

TrueCircle Polycarbonate

This special type of material uses a waste product of the wood industry as raw material. The material is ISCC certified according to the mass-balancing principle and retains the familiar properties of the PC material without restriction.


Regranulate

Our regranulates are not based on renewable raw materials, but on recycled plastic waste. They thus contribute to the circular economy and waste avoidance.

CAB (Cellulose Acetatbutyrat)

CAB consists of 45% cellulose, a renewable raw material. The excellent optical properties are complemented by good stability.


Durabio

Durabio is based on sorbitol, a natural raw material used in countless products, not least in the food industry. It combines the positive properties of the materials PC and PMMA.

Vestamid Terra

The PA type Vestamid Terra uses up to 100% of the oil of the castor plant in its production. In addition to flame-retardant variants, glass fibers can be added to the material, which has a positive effect on impact strength. PA is also extremely heat resistant.
